The aim of this work package is to integrate implemented software at testbeds, to execute trials
to evaluate produced solution and to let financial service providers assess the produced software.
Testbed availability is mandatory for executing all these activities in real world environment.
Testbeds shall be connected among them using a communication network. We plan using
commercial Internet for interconnection among testbed nodes to test a real commercial world
communication channel.
Testbeds will be used for evaluating the benefits of using CoMiFin software for managing
financial communication network. Business partners will provide a set of servers that can be
utilized as a geographically distributed platform for experiments. A testbeds will be
interconnected with the other ones by using plain and secure (VPN) Internet connections.
Testbeds will also utilize WAN emulators for simulating different network effects (e.g., packet
loss, delays, attacks).
A typical testbed will be arranged by using a set of devices (network devices and servers)
composing a networked IP based environment. Each testbed will be connected to the Internet by
a leased or an owned line. All the testebeds will be interconnected among each other using the
Internet.
The servers inside the testbed will be used to host applications, services and tools to be used in
the scope of the Projects. Testbeds architecture and interconnection layout will be defined in
order to effectively reproduce a financial communication network.
